This is a long post, but I need to rant a little, pls forgive me. So... Now I know why they say: "these dolls are not for children". My mom wants to give the girls something you can't buy in any store. Unique, just from Busha. I understand and respect that, but after putting so much time into painting, curing, and even starting fresh- because I didn't like the end results- the work, care, patience and love I put into creating these dolls, watching the girls drag them by their arms, step on them, or throw them on the floor, try to scratch the creamy white nail tips and the half moons off, after it took hours under the magnifying glass to put them on, fighting through pain and my neuropathy, applying with a tooth pick, even asking my mom for help because my hands couldn't handle it, so watching them being mistreated - literally hurts my heart. "This doll" will be for sale, $169.00 plus shipping cost and she is not a toy. The pictures do not do her justice. After I give her hair, lashes and eye brows, I will take nice photos of her. I am not selling my dolls for the reborn prices, I am just a "new" reborn artist, they are not masterpieces, I do need to charge for the supplies (the glass eyes alone are $27.00, the heat set paint is $10 for a .5 gram jar… the hair for reborns is $35 for 10 grams) so I hope you can appreciate the cost and time, I am really not being greedy and am charging the minimum… these are collectors dolls, not children's toys. After making now 3 dolls, not counting the Maddie that I am keeping for my collection, I understand why the experienced artists charge $500-over a $1000 for their dolls and are stressing on every post that: "these are not toys". I only have to charge for the supplies that go into them and a little for my time and the work I put into them. The blank kits are $99 and up. The kits I decided I will buy will be up to $150 depending on whether it's a limited edition, or open edition. I do not order the very expensive ones to keep my dollies more attainable. I will never exaggerate what I paid. I want to support the sculptors who actually create the mold of the baby, but $200 or $300 for a kit is just more than I can do. I Can do custom dolls just be aware- if you want the top quality stuff it really costs a lot. I use stuff that is better quality, but not the most expensive. Just being honest. I want them to be more affordable because I know what it's like, to really want something and not being able to afford it, however, please understand -I can not charge less than the supplies. If you are interested and would like this dolly when its done, please email me. You may also request hair color, I only have brown, or blonde right now since I am a beginner. I will not be posting my dolls on any sales sites. Direct from me to you, only. We can work on payments. Thank you. P.S. I would really like to see her go to someone who will cherish and love her and appreciate her for what she is.
